Any tips on troubleshooting this one? (I'm prob. doing something wrong...)

I have a field validated and entered with a value list (pop up list) as either Yes or No. I can find based on those values manually with no problem, but when I try to script it, I get an error message, "No valid criteria." In the Find step of the script I specify "Perform Find [Restore]" amd specify: Finances::cleared: ["No"]. ('Finances' is the filename; 'cleared' is the field name.) I've also tried it with: [="No"].

Any help appreciated.

See the word Restore in your script step? it's restoring the previuous find. Uncheck this option in the Script Step and see if this doesn't change things for you. BTW, your "No" should do it.

7 no longer gives you an option to unclick Restore, Lee. One of the great additions to 7 is its Find Request options. smile.gif

All you need is:

Perform Find [Restore]

And in the criteria only type the word No - no quotes and no equal.
