October 11, 200421 yr Newbies How do I open new windows in front in FM7? Close others? I'm trying to have Window A, when click, OPEN Window B in FRONT for editing Window A, then ON SUBMIT, close Window B, return to a refreshed Window A. Also, a side question: I'm leaning on designing this new database with individual files. I know that with FM7 you can design all files as TABLES and have one, all encompassing, file. What would happen where this one, all encompassing, file to crash, get corrupted, or other mishap? Are my instincts correct? Or am I missing out on the beauty of delivering one file to the client? --soda
October 11, 200421 yr I don't think corruption of one big file is much worse than corruption of one module of a multi-file solution. If it can't be recovered, one needs to use a backup anyway. There are lots of threads discussing business-logic, GUI, modularity and other reasons not to build ALL files into one big file, but file corruption is not one of them, I think. Oh well, you can always put all your files in one ZIP file and deliver that to the customer
