In tableview i would like to go to full record?

I used to be able to click on a record in table view and go back to the full record in form view . However Filemaker 7 when i click on it, it becomes edit.

How does one do it in Fm7 ??

Then you had a script attached to a button in this line or field in List View that did the switch.

Problem now is i use IWP and list view only shows 5 records, how to overcome this restriction?

I also tried self-join and creating a portal to display 25 records.

this works but my button doesn;t work in Portal Mode, it cannot focus or select the record, it just defaults to first record when i click on say the 5th record.
