Is it possible to open a database from Filemaker Pro 6 saved as *.db5 on Filemaker 5.5 running on iMac?

Hi b1z0n, and welcome to the Forum.

I just reread your post. If I'm understanding you correctly, you are asking if v5.5 can open v6 files. Yes it can. Basically, they are the same files (your extension of db5 thorough me, the proper extension is .fp5. If you are having trouble, the wrong extension can be the problem.

Keep in mind, that v6 is an upgrade of 5.5, and even though they use the same programing language, there are some add functions added in v6, that will not work in 5.5. Check the version notes at FMI).
