did ver 8 improve export field function

Hoping that version 8 addressed FM lack of ability to name the file while exporting the contents of a field by using a field value.

rather than relying on OS scripting or plug-ins

Anyone know if this has been upgraded ?

Yes, you can now use variables to name a file path for import, export, etc.
