FileMaker Pro 8 files vs 7

Can FileMaker Pro 7 files that have been edited in FileMaker 8 Advanced still be run with Filemaker Pro 7 if none of the FileMaker Pro 8 features have been used?

I think that it will run with the new features too, if the programmer was a good one !
