I believe FMP7 Developer shipped with media and a non-commercial (debug, development, etc.) license for Server 7 Advanced. Does anyone know if this will still be the case with FMP8 Advanced and Server 8?

No, it does not (just received my copy), but you can download a 30-day demo version of Server 8 from filemaker.com. Hopefully there will be a demo version of Server 8 Advanced when it is released as well.

I suppose the thought is that if you are selling client-server solutions you have enough money to buy a copy of Server for your own development, and based on the prices I've seen for some c/s solutions in our industry that is so true.

Or, simply that Server 8 and Server 8 Advanced were just not ready when the FM 8 Advanced boxes went to production.

Still, it would be neat if Develop... oops, "Advanced" shipped with a limited version of Server (perhaps 3-client, or times out every couple of hours, etc.).

Hmmm, I wonder if you get such a thing with an FSA subscription. (Off to check FSA site...)
