Newbies sluggo312 Posted November 22, 2005 Newbies Posted November 22, 2005 Hi, I have a Mac FM 5.0 server running on a shared T1 line with static IP address and protpcol set to IP only (no appletalk). This has been serving up 4 documents to 5 local computers and 4 remote computers (branch office) for 3 years. Due to demand on our system, we added a DSL line and it was installed today. The server has been left on the T1 with the static IP so the remote machines can log in, but all the computers at the main office have been switched over to the DSL for access. The DSL network does not connect to the T1 network at all. Now remote and local computers are unable to see the server or files by specifying the IP address. We have several Macs running FM6 and a PC running FM6. Are there changes to the server or the clients I need to make? Thanks in advance, I know you brilliant types will save me.
Wim Decorte Posted November 22, 2005 Posted November 22, 2005 Not sure I understand the network topology correctly. The 5 local computers are in the same building as the FM Server? Then why would you need DSL for them?
