Problem opening FMP8 files

When I try to open a file in Filemaker Pro 8 by double-clicking it or dragging it to the Filemaker icon, Filemaker starts, but the file doesn't open.

If FM is already open, double-clicking the file works as expected.

This is a new install of FMPro 8 on Mac OSX Tiger.

Did you remove any installed trial versions?

I didn't have any trial versions previously installed - this is the first time FM has even been installed on this Mac.

I tried reinstalling it, and I also tried rebuilding the Launch Services database, but no go.

This is the trial version I am running, so maybe it's a bug with it. The PC trial version works fine - I tried it today at work.

Ah, that explains it. I had the same problem until I got my purchased copy running.

This has got to be Tiger related. I have gone thought the same process of installing the demo, and then the purchase copy without a hitch. I also have v7, v6 Dev, v5, and v4 installed too.

Aha - I was hoping it as just a trial version glitch.

Thanks!
