Digital Life Posted February 9, 2006 Posted February 9, 2006 We have upgraded to Filemaker 8 and we are running on Windows XP. We used to be able to access a font we purchased called Myriad Pro. But now it is no longer available in the Filemaker Format Font menu. It is avialable in the Word font menu still and in other programmes. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.
Raybaudi Posted February 9, 2006 Posted February 9, 2006 Hi try this: while in layout mode, Format-->Font-->Configure/More Fonts...
Digital Life Posted February 9, 2006 Author Posted February 9, 2006 Thanks but that is the problem. When we go there, the font in question does not show up. But in other programmes it does show up. That's why we are confused?? It's not seeing a font that we have on the system.
Lee Smith Posted February 9, 2006 Posted February 9, 2006 (edited) V8 is fussy about the fonts. They must be installed. Other programs my be drawing the font based on the printer description. Go to the Applications >>Font Book, and double check that it is Installed, and [color:red]Active. HTH Lee Edited February 9, 2006 by Guest
Raybaudi Posted February 9, 2006 Posted February 9, 2006 Hi Lee is that "Font Book" a Mac Application ?
Lee Smith Posted February 9, 2006 Posted February 9, 2006 Hi Daniele, Yes I think that it is Mac only. It comes with the OSX It is a combination of ATM (that allowed you to control the fonts that you had loaded) and The Old Font Book Utility (that allowed you to print the different fonts so that you could see what they look liked, etc.). Digital Life Posted February 9, 2006 Author Posted February 9, 2006 Just to make sure, this problem is happening on a Windows XP system. As I say, the font appears in all other programmes, but does not appear in Filemaker so it seems to be a Filemaker issue. It's verison 8.0v2.
