June 14, 200619 yr Newbies I am wondering if anyone else has had the problem of the text cursor appearing to be one or two spaces farther than it evidently is, meaning, that it may look to rest after the "p" in "Aspen," yet when you delete backwards, for example, it will erase the "A." I remember this happening when we updated to FMP 7 but a simple version update fixed the problem. We have had FMP 8 for a while and it is completely updated and evidently this problem began out of the blue, not after any update of any kind. So - just wondering if anyone has encountered this and if so, if they found a solution. Thank you very much! I LOVE this forum!
June 15, 200619 yr FileMaker 7/8 requires anti-aliasing to properly space text. In the System Preferences->Appearance, set the 'Turn off text smoothing for font sizes __ and smaller' to something like 8 point, or whatever your smallest font size is in your data entry/view layouts.
