dvalley Posted November 17, 2006 Posted November 17, 2006 I have had this annoyance since we first started using FM7. Our company lists chemical names in many of our databases. These are not covered by the spell check dictionaries and show up as underlined. I have tried to turn off the spell check feature in the file options tab, but it always turns itself back on the next time I launch the application. Is there a way to turn it off once and for all?
Mike D. Posted November 20, 2006 Posted November 20, 2006 dvalley, Do you have admin rights to the file? I'm guessing, but is it possible that the permissions to the file have been restricted? I tried it on both my Mac and on Windows XP and did not see the problem you're having. The other possible fix is that you create a custom dictionary and use that instead of the default one. HTH, Mike
dvalley Posted November 20, 2006 Author Posted November 20, 2006 I am the administrator of the file. I will try the custom dictionary route.
