Filemaker Updates Won't Install

Featured Replies

Hey Everyone,

I've got an issue trying to upgrade my FileMaker Pro 8.5v1 installation to 8.5v2. Everytime I try to run the installer, it tells me "The updater cannot find a qualifying product on the system."

The funny thing is, I get the same problem on my work computer, and my home computer (PCs). To make that even funnier (although, strangely enough, I'm not laughing), I get the same problems on my FileMaker Server 7, and Server 8 computers (WinServer 2003). I even used to get an upgrade error on my FM Server 5.5 on Macintosh, although I fixed that one already.

Anybody know what the heck is going on, and why I seem to be the only guy that has this problem all the time!? I can't seem to find any info anywhere on the internet about this error except for one Australian dude who never got an answer to his post...

Thanks in advance,

Chris

You have to have the right updater for the version you're trying to update. As far as I know, 8.5v2 hasn't been released yet.

Ah! Sorry, I meant 8.0v2... Anyway, this is happening with my server installs as well... Anyone know why?
