UPDATE:

It appears data was input with font information, so the calculated field is using the font info entered with the zip code, and the layout font for the rest. How can one prevent this from happening?

---------------

Postnet code font not displaying properly.

I am using a calculation to generate the postnet code for mailing. The data is not being formatted properly in the font.

A postnet code is made up of the zip code, a correction digit, and a dash or other character at each end, depending on the specific font.

The calculated field is using the layout specified font for part of the field, but Verdana for the digits.

On the image, the postnet code appears directly above the address. I have pasted on the layout and formatted with the postnet font (in red). You can see the difference.

I have duplicated the problem using several different postnet fonts from different suppliers.

BTW - This issue does not appear in FileMaker Pro 7.
