Is there a way to have Filemaker 6 ask to save a record?

I have been working in FM8, but have recently inherited a FM6 DB. I noticed that FM6 autosaves record changes to the DB.

Can this problem be fixed without converting to FM8?

No. It was a new feature in FMP 7.

The only work-around was to copy the data into global fields, display the global fields, then prompt to save the data from the globals back to the real fields.
