So I developed a pretty sophisticated FM -> PHP API solution in FM 8.

Our FM Server is on one machine, and our PHP scripts reside on a separate web server.

When we upgraded the FM Server to FM Server Advanced 9, the scripts all continued to work...

But...

Under heavy load, the scripts will periodically stop with the "Unable to Open File" error.

It seems that, as configured by default, FM Server Advanced 9 can't handle the same amount of traffic that 8 could.

Does anyone here know what the maximum capacity for PHP API hits on FMSA 9 is, and, if any of my server settings need to be tweaked for performance, which settings those would be? I poked around the admin tool some, but didn't see anything obvious.

Thanks!

There was actually a severe bug relating to scripts in the FM 8 API - in an attempt to fix this, they may have screwed the 9 version over more.

I've also seen the script timeout... on a new file, on a development server with 99 connection slots free and 1 request being made.

Anyway, I'd suggest you go ask this same question at www.fmwebschool.com/frm.
