Anyone know whether if the FileMaker Pro 5 Server must be install in order to do networking,e.g to share database with other pc with FM Pro 5?

Is it true that the FM Pro 5 Server is need in order to host and share databases?

Anyone who know the answer please email me.

P.S Speed is not important in this matter.

The normal version of FileMaker can serve databases to other users. You just need to set the databases that you want to share to multi-user.
