Somebody please help me. I am a sound editor with sound fx on cd. The sound fx info (name, cd number etc) are on a cd database (Filmaker 5)supplied by the makers of the sound fx cd's.

I want to load my sound fx onto harddrive, but instead of having to name every sound effect, is there away of stamping the info from the cd database onto the harddrive?. i.e can I tell my pc-these 100 sounds are from cd 1 which has 100 sound effects thus the listing of 100 sounds is transfered into the pc and my 100 sounds(in the pc) are named as per the 100 sounds in the database??.Can anyone in cyberworld help?

You can export the data from the FMP database as text onto your hard disk, no problems there. What you do with it after that depends on what other software you have. I don't know of any way to get FMP to change the names of the sound files or anything.
