Will FM9 change a data file? Can I use a FM 8 file back and forth between 8 and 9 without any problems. File will just be used locally with no web usage.

7, 8, 8.5, and 9 all use the same file format, i.e. [color:blue].fp7. So, you can move back between the two applications without a problem. However, you can not use new functions of 9, and/or 8.5 in version 8.
