Newbies stacey9554 Posted March 7, 2008 Newbies Posted March 7, 2008 I work at a company that uses FileMaker Pro 5 with Office XP. They will be upgrading ot Office 2007 soon. Is FileMaker Pro 5 completely compatible with Office 2007? I read that some new version of FileMaker Pro, like 8.5 and 9, aren't compatible with office 2007 when it comes to importing. But there was no mention to FMPro 5. Any help you can offer would be nice? Thanks, Stacey9554
Wim Decorte Posted March 14, 2008 Posted March 14, 2008 Office 2007 introduces a totally new file format for Office documents. Are you planning on keeping the documents in their original pre-2007 format?
Newbies stacey9554 Posted March 17, 2008 Author Newbies Posted March 17, 2008 The hope was to install Office 2007 and continue using the File Make Pro 5 application as they always have, which would include having their documents in pre 2007 format. The whole company plans to upgrade to office 2007 though so everything may need to be reformated into Office 2007 formats.
