Newbies Ron Bascom Posted March 10, 2008 Newbies Posted March 10, 2008 I'm getting this error mesage when trying to share a file with FileMaker 9 on Vista FileMaker cannot share files because another useu is already sharing files using FileMaker Pro on this computer No other filemaker product is installed on this computer. and for troubling shooting I disconnected it from the network. This is driving me nuts, never had this issue before, I've been trying to work this out for hours. Any thoughts. Thanks Ron
mr_vodka Posted March 10, 2008 Posted March 10, 2008 Are the files being shared? Is anyone sharing them? Are you trying to access the files via a SHARED directory? If so do not access the files through a shared network drive. If not, try this thread. http://fmforums.com/forum/showtopic.php?tid/178485
Newbies Ron Bascom Posted March 10, 2008 Author Newbies Posted March 10, 2008 No I get the error message, when trying to open ANY file on this computer in FileMaker. Also there is only one user account setup on this computer. This is a new computer and has never had any other filemaker product installed on it. The only other time I've seen this is when another FileMaker product was sharing a file on said computer. Thanks Ron
mr_vodka Posted March 10, 2008 Posted March 10, 2008 Adn you did try the things referenced in the other thread correct? (Rebooting, using a STATIC IP instead of DHCP, etc) Hmmm how about this? http://fmforums.com/forum/showtopic.php?tid/173002
