trouble installing Filmaker Pro 6

I am trying to install Filemake Pro 6 on my new PC that uses Windows XP as the OS. After following all of the installation steps--when I click the the filemaker icon to open the program an error message pops up saying that there is a problem with the executable file.

How can I fix this?

Can you post a screenshot of the message? There is no inherent problem with FM6 and XP so it must be something on your machine that is causing this?

We need more info to track this down.
