I recently made a database on filemaker pro 8. I then tried to put the database onto my work computer which also has filemaker pro 8 on there but when i try open it, filemaker opens and then my database only flashes on the screen quickly then disappears again. I really need to be able to open it!! I dont understand whats wrong. Any suggestions?

thanks

Does the file have any scripts that run on file open?

Well im guessing so. I didnt make the database by myself but yes i think it does. If it does what do i need to do to fix this problem?

Thanks for your help.. sorry i took so long to reply

Can you open FileMaker without opening the file?

In other words, go into the Application Folder, and click on the Application.

Yes i can do that.

I see you mention Server in your first post, but didn't make it clear if the file is being Served while you are trying to open it on your home machine.

Why don't you go into more detail about how you are opening the file, and if there is a network involved.

Are your FileMaker applications, and server all up to date with the current upgrades?
