I have a quoting system which I need to show summaries of the different catergories, so that my sales people can print either a itemised Quote or Simple final Total. No problem with the final total, it's by category that's stumping me. example Paint $300 Wood $450 Concrete $300 etc etc, however when we build up the quote their are several items associated with one catergory. i.e Wood contians different types Pine, Rimu etc. I have a Line_items DB and a sep Inventory DB with (i hope) the appropriate relations set any ideas please.
