Webpage will not show complete text field

Hi,

I think I was a little unclear before when I submitted a question. I'll try again.

Someone posted the following message a little while ago and it got some response:

"I have got a problem with my database on the web. Ive got a field that has contains track titles. The complete list shows up in filemaker but on the web the field is cut short. I'm using filemaker4.1 and lasso 3.5

Do you know how to solve this problem.

thanks all."

I am having the same problem, but am using Dreamweaver UltraDev 1.0 (VBScript and ASP)and Filemaker Pro 5.0. The full text of my text fields does not show up. It only shows exactly 255 characters instead of 1000+.

Why is it truncating at 255 characters? Is anyone else having this problem?

The database works fine when I tried it in Access.

Is this a field definition problem, or Web Companion, or what?

Thanks

Hmmm.. 255 characters is about the length limit of a number field. Check the field definitions in FMP and maybe in Lasso and ASP too (Lasso and ASP I know nothing about unfortunately).
