Newbies selwyn Posted January 16, 2001 Newbies Posted January 16, 2001 We are a school trying to install a French dictionary into FP5 for our French teachers. I'd appreciate any insight that could help. TIA, Mike ------------------ Michael Kane Comuter Technician Sewlyn House School [email protected]
john.daly Posted January 16, 2001 Posted January 16, 2001 I'm assuming you already have the dictionary file. if so then from Filemaker go to the Edit menu and select Spelling and then select dictionaries. This will open a file dialog box and you just need to locate the dictionary. Make sure you are looking for files of type .mpr as these are the main dictinaries.
Newbies selwyn Posted January 16, 2001 Author Newbies Posted January 16, 2001 Thanks, I cannot find a French dictionary - only a UK and US english (2 dictionaries). Any ideas of where we can get a French one? ------------------ Michael Kane Comuter Technician Sewlyn House School [email protected]
john.daly Posted January 16, 2001 Posted January 16, 2001 Sorry. I can't help you with that one. I only have the UK and US English ones as well. I do know that Claris used to do a French dictionary that was common to its applictions and I'm sure they must still be produced. I should contact Filemaker in Canada and ask them.
