Hi Everyone,

I'm using a standard installation of Filemaker 9 server advanced on a Mac OSX 10.4.11 machine

When trying to test sending mail using phpmailer I get this error:

Warning: fsockopen() [function.fsockopen]: unable to connect to ssl://smtp.gmail.com:465 (Unable to find the socket transport "ssl" - did you forget to enable it when you configured PHP?) in /Library/FileMaker Server/Web Publishing/publishing-engine/php/lib/php/class.smtp.php on line 105

Mailer Error: SMTP Error: Could not connect to SMTP host.

It's the second SSL related error I get on this server.

How do enable openssl on the server? Is it the way Apache is built or a PHP module ?

Thanks!

federico
