I want my windows to restore to the size I have designed them to be, not what Windows98 thinks is cool. Whenever I "Restore" a window after "Maximizing" it (using the buttons in the title bar) the window does not restore to the size I want it to be, rather it restores to some sort of Windows98 (or FMPro5) default size and position. How can I change the default size and position? Surely Filemaker did not leave out such an important feature.

Seems like you may have discovered a problem!! I tried it in FM5v3 and indeed it momentarily goes back to the size you set it at but then reverts immediately to a sort of letterbox size. I can't make it do anything else. I checked what happened in FM4 and that works perfectly. In FM4 it always restores to the size you set it at previously. Change back to FM4!!
