November 6, 200817 yr Not sure where to post this, sorry if it’s in the wrong place. I’m trying to understand the difference between a VLA and an SLA. I’m looking for a 50 seat license. On the VLA a 50 seat license costs $241, while on an SLA a 50 seat license costs $159. Obviously there must be a major difference between the two to account for the price discrepancy.. what am I missing ?
November 6, 200817 yr It's been a while since I had to sort out licenses, so this may be incorrect: VLA = you own the licenses in perpetuity. SLA = after the period expires you give the licenses back. Both include maintenance (ie free updates) during the license period.
November 6, 200817 yr Author hmmm, I don't see anything on the FM websites that mentions a validity period for SLA licenses.
