Hello, and thank you all for useful tips for a newcomer like me. I have one problem (only one smile.gif" border="0 ) and I hope there is a solution to it, even if I can’t figure it out:

I make a lot of business reports (like price lists), and I would like to have an index based upon the sub-summary break fields as well as page number. It should be placed in the beginning of the report, typically like this:

INDEX

Page 1 Bulbs

Page 3 Contacts

Page 6 Outlets etc.

The Index should be based upon the page that this break field appears in first. I have found the solution to some part of the problem by using the status function (currentpagenumber) in Preview mode and pasting the result in a related field. Then I show the related records in a portal in the Price list base. My problem is that I don’t know how to make my script understand which page I am in when the break field occurs, so I am stuck.

Is this solvable in Filemaker?
