summergirl Posted March 7, 2002 Posted March 7, 2002 I'm on a Win 2000 machine, running FmPro 5.0v3. Occasionally I'll get the following message when I try to open a Filemaker file by double-clicking on a shortcut icon. "The temp file "A2k 02-03.fp5" could not be created on the disk. Use a different name, make more room on the disk, or make it writeable." (There's an OK button.) The message appears before the password box comes up. I'm working off a 18.6 gig hard drive, with 15 gigs free, so I really have plenty of room for my 700k file. No server involved. After I click the OK button, I go to the File menu, click "open," choose my file from the list, and everything is hunky-dory from there on. What's going on?? This is a money-maker database for me, so I need to make sure nothing funky is going to show up later as a result. Thanks for your help, Mary Z
Jamie Tougas Posted March 12, 2002 Posted March 12, 2002 Delete and recreate the temp folder where FileMaker stores its tmp files.
