how to disable "verifying" databases under FM server advance 11

Featured Replies

HI,

I have a large database 15gb and i'm trying to disable the "verifying" in case my database closes down unexpectably.

does anybody know how to do this?

Thanks.

There is an option to verify scheduled backups (or not) but afaik no option to disable verification when FMS opens files.

It's worth pointing out that this verification is relatively new and was added so that FMS does not host corrupted files, which continue to get worse over time until they break completely... and result in corrupted backups going w-a-y back. Kt's an early warning system.

IOW the verification on open is not something you'd want to disable.

OTOH the files should NOT be closing down unexpectedly. Fix that problem instead.

How did you turn it on to begin with? Is this occurring in a backup script or other server side script?

If, OTOH, you are talking about verification after such a close has happened and when FMS starts up again, I don't believe you can do that. You may need to look at a better file structure. Also, if you're having unexpected closes you need to find out why. Are all your logs enabled, and what do they say about the closures?
