Hello.

Recently I updated the stock installation of PHP that came with OS X Server 10.5.8 to PHP 5.3.10. Everything was running fine, including Admin Console (connecting to FileMaker Server 10), but then a couple days ago, Admin Console crashed and now I can no longer connect to the server from the Admin Console.

I get the error...

"Could not load file/URL specified: http://192.168.XXX.XXX:16000/admin_console_webstart.jnlp"

I also can't connect to FileMaker Server 10 via a browser at http://192.168.XXX.XXX:16000 — it just says that it can't connect to the server.

I'm not using web-publishing in FileMaker Server 10, and FMS10 was running fine for weeks after I upgraded PHP (connecting via the Admin Console), so I don't think it's something related to the PHP upgrade (?), but I don't know what else could be causing the issue?

Apache & PHP are running fine (managed via OS X's Server Admin).

I'm seeing these errors in my OS X Server logs:

Apr 2 14:05:56 xserve003 [0x0-0x2d02d].com.apple.jnlp-http___192.168.XXX.XXX_16000_admin_console_webstart.jnlp[1542]: #### Java Web Start Error:

Also — as a last resort, I've tried rebooting the server (incase Admin Console was hung post-crash), but that has done nothing.

Any advice would be appreciated!

Thanks,

Kristin.

Hi Kristin,

PHP would have nothing to do with this. Is that machine running a static IP address? You may also need to check what version of the Java JRE is running and revert to an older version.
