June 24, 201312 yr Hello All I am in the midst of installing FM server advanced on a new server, because the original server is no longer stable. The old server is still working, but not for long. When I try to run the admin console, on the new server, I receive a license conflict with the old server. As you can guess, I can not shut down the old server, until the new one is up and going. There are mission critical files that are always being used. Has anyone found a way around this? Gil
June 24, 201312 yr Install the new server in a different network, you can also do it standalone with a fixed IP, provided the host OS will permit. The admin console will be likely 'sniffing' the Bonjour services in your LAN, hence the conflict. Incidentally, don't uninstall Bonjour otherwise admin console won't work at all.
June 24, 201312 yr Author Thanks. I can't install on a different network, making the new one on a VM. Tried the static IP, and still failed. Any other ideas?
June 24, 201312 yr The server should have a static IP regardless, so set it up that way. Then disconnect the server from the network and leave it disconnected until you can stop the old server. There is no way you can have two machines with the same license key on the same network.
