Aussie John Posted August 14, 2013 Posted August 14, 2013 Hi I know this is always a tricky one but FMS has been crashing regularly. (multiples time a day). As far as I can tell it started happening recently and had been stable for over 12months before. The crash log in console always points to thread 11 Thread 11 Crashed: 0 libobjc.A.dylib 0x00007fff8fe9f250 objc_msgSend + 16 1 com.apple.CoreFoundation 0x00007fff8b9c3f81 __CFPropertyListIsValidAux + 65 2 com.apple.CoreFoundation 0x00007fff8b9f34dd CFPropertyListIsValid + 93 3 com.apple.CoreFoundation 0x00007fff8b9fe0e3 CFPropertyListCreateDeepCopy + 83 4 com.apple.CoreFoundation 0x00007fff8b9fe2c4 CFPropertyListCreateDeepCopy + 564 5 com.apple.CoreFoundation 0x00007fff8bb0cc20 -[CFPrefsPlistSource setValue:forKey:] + 128 6 com.apple.CoreFoundation 0x00007fff8bb09fb4 +[CFPrefsSource withSourceForIdentifier:user:byHost:container:perform:] + 884 7 com.apple.CoreFoundation 0x00007fff8bb088fe _CFPreferencesSetValueWithContainer + 238 8 com.filemaker.FMS.framework 0x0000000100148fa0 MacPrefs::FinalCloseStorage(Draco::unistring const&, __CFDictionary*&) + 80 9 com.filemaker.FMS.framework 0x000000010014cace PrefsArchiver::PutTree(FMSTypes::PreferenceList const&, FMSTypes::PreferenceList&) + 894 10 com.filemaker.PrefsMgr.framework 0x0000000100350635 PreferencesMgr::SetRequest(FMS::EventHelper&) + 133 11 com.filemaker.PrefsMgr.framework 0x00000001003514b9 PreferencesMgr::ProcessEvent(FMS::EventHelper&) + 137 12 com.filemaker.FMS.framework 0x00000001001b8d18 FMS::ComponentBaseThread::Main() + 232 13 com.filemaker.PrefsMgr.framework 0x000000010034d8ff PreferencesMgr::Main() + 383 14 com.filemaker.support.framework 0x00000001016f94eb Draco::Thread::RunThread() + 43 15 com.filemaker.support.framework 0x00000001016fa7f9 Draco::Thread::ThreadUnixProc(void*) + 57 16 libsystem_c.dylib 0x00007fff879c47a2 _pthread_start + 327 17 libsystem_c.dylib 0x00007fff879b11e1 thread_start + 13 Systems is 10.8.4 on mac mini with external thunderbolt drive for file storage. Wim Decorte Posted August 14, 2013 Posted August 14, 2013 what's on the thunderbolt drive? The live files, backups? Does the crash occur around backup time or when a schedule runs?
Aussie John Posted August 15, 2013 Author Posted August 15, 2013 the thunderbolt drive holds the live files and the backups. Now that I think of it the crashing probably started about the time I introduced incremental backups.
