March 27, 201411 yr Newbies I have created a database which I use mainly in Filemaker Go on an Ipad Every so often I open the database and get this meassge "An installed OnTimer script could not be found or could not be run with current access pri?ileges" which stops the database from opening. I have to reboot the ipad and then the database opens. Anybody any ideas on ow to fix this? Thanks pixeleen
April 1, 201411 yr Did you design the database yourself, or did you modify an existing solution? It sounds like some script is getting hung up when your device sleeps. There is a script step, called, "Install OnTimer script", which allows a script to run automatically at preset intervals. Rather than reboot your iPad, can't you just force quit FMGo? This should terminate whatever processes are hibernating. To do this, double click the home button and then swipe the FMGo preview screen up (iOS 7), or select the little 'X' on the app icon (pre iOS7).
April 1, 201411 yr I have the same appearance of this error. On my iPad / iPhone there is no FM database present with any OnTimerScript aboard. Indeed, quitting FM Go solves the problem.
June 17, 201411 yr Newbies I also have this issue. Seems to only happen on the iPhone and iPad, not the desktop version. I've exported all the scripts and searched for a rogue OnTimer step. There are no OnTimer scripts or steps in the database. Force quitting does fix it, but only temporarily, as we've experienced this at least 8 times across mixed client devices since the release of FM Go 13.0.4
