Newbies dhaemion Posted August 23, 2015 Newbies Posted August 23, 2015 Hi, I just installed Filemaker server on a windows 2012 R2 virtual machine. I finally got the software to install (I had to set the http port to 50005) but I can not get to the admin console no matter what I try. I have tried http://localhost:16000, https://localhost:16000, http://localhost:16001, https://localhost:16001 and nothing has helped. Does anyone have any tips on what to look for?
Claus Lavendt Posted August 24, 2015 Posted August 24, 2015 It sounds like IIS is not running, or at least not running correctly. First, make sure that the version of FMS you are installing is supporting the windows version. Another issue could be with firewall, that is blocking port 16000/16001. The admin console must be accessed via the https protocol. Also check with the process viewer that fms processes is actually running. I would consider re-install after checking the above things.
Newbies dhaemion Posted August 24, 2015 Author Newbies Posted August 24, 2015 Hi! Thanks for your quick feedback. I stopped another program that I think was interfering with Filemaker, so now I can see the "Please wait while the admin console starts" but it does not go any further then that. I have tried it in multiple browsers and made sure the popup blocker is off, but it still doesn't seem to go any farther then this. Thanks for any help!
Claus Lavendt Posted August 24, 2015 Posted August 24, 2015 Try to reboot the machine. That helps in many cases....
Newbies dhaemion Posted August 24, 2015 Author Newbies Posted August 24, 2015 Thanks I'll have to wait until midnight tonight bit I'll make sure to try it then. I really appreciate all your help!
