The local school only offers training for 5.5, but we bought 6. If I take the training for 5.5 will I be ok with using 6? Thanks.

If you have never used FileMaker before, then you will be fine.

There are only a couple of specifics they will not be able to cover, like custom dialogs and xml import/export to name a couple.

Apart from those, the training will probably stand you in good stead.

In my opinion FMP 6 was the least of Filemaker's upgrades. It is almost indistinguishable from FMP 5.5

You don't think the custom dialog boxes are worth the price of admission? I reckon they are!

I have been using Troi's Dialog plug-in for ages now.
