how do i remove the header from the pages that i print out?

Don't give the Header color, and all items placed on it, select them and in the "Layout Mode" Menu - Format - Sliding/Printing, check the button "Do not print the selected item"

Or, in layout mode, click on the header part tab (on the left side) and hit the delete key.

Warning, if there is something in the Header part, you might want to move it into the body. Else, bingo it disappears too.

Um, the problem here is that nothing in the Header will slide up -- including the Header part itself. So you're left with a (potentially large) blank space at the top of your page.

The best solution is to duplicate the layout, minus the Header part, and print from that layout. You can script this.
