Trouble Opening A File from OS X

Featured Replies

I'm on the latest trial version of Filemaker on my Mac OS X and my PC. I saved a FM file on the Mac and e-mailed it to my PC, where it couldn't be opened. Filemaker said it was not a Filemaker file or was severely damaged. I tried this many times with the same result. What could be happening here? Oddly, any file I e-mail from my PC to my Mac OS X opens fine, it just doesn't work the other way around.

Thanks,

Corey Martin

And of course you have the file with name extension like fmdatabase.fp5?

Correct, fp5.

Try to FTP the file, or transfer it via network or floppy or CD.

It should work unless Mac X is doing something strange with FM files.
