Im researching about filemaker and php, i ended up at FX.php's program. Im just confused, is filemaker web companion different from the web connector? Or they are bot the same?

They are different animals. Web Companion is interface between FM and web; WSC is interface between Web Server like Apache or IIS and one or more Web Companions.
