e3digital Posted September 30, 2003 Posted September 30, 2003 I want to show the text formatting toolbar, but when I go to the View menu, Toolbars is grayed out, no matter what mode I'm in...am I missing something basic or is something screwed up? (Neither will surprise me! :-) Thanks, Susan
kenneth2k1 Posted September 30, 2003 Posted September 30, 2003 One thought would be that maybe the toolbar is locked using a script. This might happen at startup, so look over document preferences. If a script has Allow Toolbars [off], then set it to [on] and execute the script. Ken
dbruggmann Posted September 30, 2003 Posted September 30, 2003 Are you using Mac OSX? Then the floating toolbars don't work in FMP 6. Detlev
e3digital Posted September 30, 2003 Author Posted September 30, 2003 Hmmm... I checked the script option and there is none. I am using OSX...if the floating toolbars don't work, does that mean I always have to use the menus to format my text...? Ick. :-) Any idea if it's a FMP issue or a X issue? In other words, who has to step up and make it work? :-) Thanks, Susan
andygaunt Posted September 30, 2003 Posted September 30, 2003 Unfortunately you cannot get toolbars in OSX. So yes, you will have to use the menu's Only shortcuts you have is for font size and style. PC users can substitute the CMD key for CTRL (although they have the ability to have toolbars) CMD + SHIFT + key below P - Plain B - Bold I - Italic U - Underline . to increase point size , to decrease point size FileMaker did not allow for it when FM6 was released. Maybe next version.
