Is there a way that I can disable the mouse scrollwheel so users don't inadvertently switch records? I read somewhere that if you hide the status area, it should prevent the user from switching records, but I could swear that it's happened to me even when it's hidden. Anyone else have this problem? I'm working in Windows 2000 if that makes a difference. Thanks!

Hello ddreese,

I'm afraid that I missed your post the first time around.

The answer is that merely hiding the Status Area will (as you've discovered) have no effect on the operation of the mouse scroll wheel on Windows systems. However if you *hide and lock* the status area (ie with the use of the script step 'Toggle Status Area [Hide, Lock]') the scroll wheel record navigation feature will be temporarily disabled (and will remain so while the Status Area remains hidden and locked).

And man I hate that - some of us want to hide and lock the status bar and keep the mouse scroll wheel working - such a pain - is there any other way of doing this?
