I have created a catalog where the products are sorted into lets say 10 categories so that we have a list with category headers before each list of product that falls into that category

ex:SPROCKETS

SprocketA

SprocketB

SprocketC

WIDGETS

Widgets A

Widgets B

The problem that I am running into is that I end up having 7 pages for items that should fit on 5. At the end of some of the pages there can be up to 3" of empty space, then on the next page it starts the new category that in some cased should fit on the page before.

I thought that this would be fixed in the part setup by selecting "Allow part to break across page boundaries" but it isn't changing anything.

Any suggestions?

Are you using the Slide feature available in Layout mode Menu - Format - Slide Printing that can be applied to the different fields?

Yes, I am using slide on those fields, with it reducing the size of the part. It seems to be reducing and sliding each item fine, it just doesn't handle the whole section correctly. The footer is still ending up at the bottom of the page. I don't care if it splits a section between 2 pages, I just want it to fill up the page.
