Newbies Andi Posted June 4, 2004 Newbies Posted June 4, 2004 I am very new at FMP. I taught myself so bear with me. I created a database for capturing various information on our Subcontractors. Our subcontractors are on several different jobs. I have a different record for every job that subcontractor is on because different data comes in from each job. When creating a report, how can I have the common data from each record not repeat? For instance it goes to the next record and prints the information only if the previous record does not have the same data. Andi
-Queue- Posted June 4, 2004 Posted June 4, 2004 Look up subsummary in the online help. You want to create a subsummary part by Subcontractor (I'm assuming), sort by Subcontractor, then preview or print the layout for the subsummary to display.
QuinTech Posted June 4, 2004 Posted June 4, 2004 Also, be sure to point Subcontractor-specific fields into that subsummary, with jobs in the Body part. HTH Jerry
