rwc.sheehan Posted July 13, 2004 Posted July 13, 2004 My problem is that when I do said export, the field names are not exported along with the information. With a large number of fields being exported it is very cumbersome to have to go through and title each column. Is there a setting that I am missing somewhere or is this more complicated than I think? Thanks.
Lee Smith Posted July 13, 2004 Posted July 13, 2004 Open your Online Help in filemaker and type or paste in: file formats, About file formats This will give all of the different formats and with a bried description. There are a couple of them that will provide the field names too. HTH Lee
SteveB Posted July 13, 2004 Posted July 13, 2004 Export using a file type of .Mer, which exports a header record. Then rename the file to have an extension of .CSV, and Excel will import it without a problem. Steve
