Does anyone know how to create numbers automatically in a field? I have 700 records that I have sorted and now I want to create a numbering system for them 1 to 700 in the sorted order.

Any clues?

If your file isn't currently multi-user, put your cursor in the field to change in the first record, go to the Records->Replace menu, and select 'Replace with serial numbers'. Then click Replace.
