Zipnyc Posted August 9, 2004 Posted August 9, 2004 This is something new for me: I'm preparing a demo CD with a sampling of solutions for use on Mac and Windows platforms. Is it necessary to add the extension, .fp5, to all files to allow cross platform access? Are there any other preparations required for access by these platforms or generally recommended? TIA
Vaughan Posted August 9, 2004 Posted August 9, 2004 Provide a zip archive of the files for Windows users: copying a folder from a locked volume (CD-ROM) causes the files themselves to be locked on most versions of Windows. It's easier to drag a zip archive across and expand it. Check layouts and fonts on both platforms. Fonts are bigger on Windows than MacOS.
Zipnyc Posted August 10, 2004 Author Posted August 10, 2004 Thanx Vaughan, I'll include the zip archive. And, I'll make certain the extension .fp5 is on each file before zipping. Any suggestions for Mac OS files before burning? L.
