Hi all,

We are looking at upgrading from FM5 to FM7, I have a trial version but when I open a FM5 database it converts it then promptly hangs. Nothing works and I have to kill the application.

Is there a process to upgrade databases, does anyone else have these problems.

Try converting the independent FM5 files before converting the dependent FM5 files.

Thanks, I think it is down to a network issue, trying to open things on the existing FM5 host. If I leave it for 15 minutes it opens... tongue.gif

Where did you say you were doing this on a network in your question?

Are you trying to work on these files while they are being served?
