Newbies kje141 Posted December 8, 2004 Newbies Posted December 8, 2004 So I have upgraded to FileMaker 7 which has solved a lot of my problems from 6, but I need to convert my 7 file back to a 6 for another client. Any way of doing this? All attempts I have made have come up lame. Thanks in advance. KE
Fitch Posted December 8, 2004 Posted December 8, 2004 You can export the data, but not the structure. It sounds like you started with 6 -- you'll have to go back to that version and add on your new stuff as best you can.
transpower Posted December 8, 2004 Posted December 8, 2004 Tell the client to get with the program. Or get Developer 7 and give him a stand-alone copy of your solution.
MoonShadow Posted December 8, 2004 Posted December 8, 2004 "Tell the client to get with the program. " Oh my goodness. Not every business can afford (or want) to upgrade. It is easy to say such things when it's not YOUR client, isn't it? KE, listen to Tom on this. And take Transpower's suggestions for what they're worth.
transpower Posted December 8, 2004 Posted December 8, 2004 Be diplomatic and explain all the new features and benefits of version 7!
